well i wanted to put that .18 by OS in my evader...but im low on cash. can changing to a smaller spur gear do the job?....also if so, can i use the evader bx spur? (56t vs. 60t) cause they are both 32pitch...but i dont know. also....if i change from the stock clutchbell to maybe a 17t....would i have to get my transmission aluminum-ized to deal with the better speed?

the aluminum for the tranny should just hold up better, I don't think it will effect speed that much.. maybe a better mesh, but it wasn't a significantly better mesh that would increase speed..

You need to go to a higher amount of teeth on the clutch bell to get mote speed. There is threaded clutch bell that a company makes and you put a 21T TC3 pinion gear on adn it works great.

I know I overlook what could be the most important thing..
chassis setup.. work hard and long on this.. all the engine in the world isn't going to help if the car won't get the power to the ground and keep it there..
(if that fails, I still say the model rocket engine strapped to the chassis would be a kick in the pants
)
