As far as I can tell, the Rustler comes with 2.2" wheels. That measurement is made from inside bead to inside bead. The 2.5" is the overall width, and not generally measured.

The Speed Hawgs will be a direct swap for your Rustler. The Speed Hawgs, and the stock ProTrax tires are both 3.5" outside diameter, so it will not affect your gearing.

They will wear MUCH better than the stock tires do, especially on pavement.

What after-run oil do you use, when you get done for the day?

Just a tip, for you nitro guys.

I used to use WD40 for my after-run. Just pull the glow plug, and the air filter. While squirting oil into the carb, pull the pull start 5 times to circulate it through the carb and around the piston. ( If you have the electric start, push the start button for 3 seconds while squirting the oil in.)

I never had problems in any of my trucks, or planes using this method. It coats all the internal parts, is combustable ( will burn off when fuel is added ) and a big can of WD40 costs about $1.99.

The traxxas after run oil should be fine.

I use trinity afterburn, but you could use 3 in 1 oil or WD40 from a hardware store...
