Tower Hobbies Tower Power Glowplug (rebadged O.S. A3), O.S. #8, O.S. A3, McCoy MC-59...
Don't use A5 or R5, these are for high nitro fuels.

Get a newer fuel than blue thunder. Blue thunder used to be good a few years ago in comparison to other fuels, but now it just doesn't hold a candle. Useing a better fuel can REALLY lower the temp of the engine and allow you to run it harder without damaging it.

WHAAAAT?! Tower Power glowplugs are O.S. A3's?????????????? WHY has no one told me this already? Argh.. shame to you all!
Also.. I've tried a bunch of different fuels and like blue thunder a lot. I don't know why all the bashing of it, but it works wonderfully for me. In fact, every fuel seems to work well for me... well except Traxxas Top Fuel which I have issues with now and again. Yeah.. when you can tune like me it doesn't matter what fuel you use lol j/k

Stay with a short plug like the mentioned OS #8 or Fox blaster short "hot". The mc59 is really a bit too long for this engine and will raise the compression too much. The use of anything longer than a true short plug will make this engine harder to tune, especially for the novice. Just the 2 cents of a seasoned racer.
