Default Cleaning pull start and one way bearing?

What is the best way to remove they crud build up in the pull start and one way bearing? Does WD-40 work or is there something better?

Anything really. I use Duratrax Powershot cleaner... which smells just like carb cleaner. They say not to get it on bearings.. but meh.. works fine for me and fixed my pullstart. Just don't use it on wheel bearings and whatnot and you're fine. You can always just stick with your WD-40, that'l be fine too.
