Default O.S. .12 cv max or associated .15?

I recently purchased a O.S. .12 cv max and was wondering which had more power and which is the better engine. The .12 is a non-pull start and the associated .15 is a pull start. And i would like your opinions on the O.S. engine.Thanks.

Both are good engines IMO both have the same power, but OS is easy to tune and if is non-pullstar will work better and weight less. IMO I will go with OS.

Good luck!!!!!!!!!

Hi

It is a vary dependable engine, and it only has 1/2 a HP. I just put mine in to my NTC3 because of its dependability. You will get between 15 & 20 min. runs with it on one tank of fuel.

I will be racing it. I was told that the .12 would put out more usable power. One reson is that a pull start makes you lose from 10% to 15% of power. Is that true? Also the non pull start sits lower on the chassi, therefore lowering you center of gravity.

correction: a non-PS WILL sit lower...once you get the lower engine mounts.

There was no mistake. I said it WOULD sit lower. You HAVE to use a non pull start motor mount which always is lower.

The O.S. .12 CV has a nice smooth powerband, very easy to drive offroad. I have one ported from here to kingdom come with an O.S. Hyper head....wonderful little motor.
