I need to replace both the servos in my Jato. Whats good sturdy mid-range priced servo. I need a high torque for steering and a regular one for throttle. Any advantages to having HT servo for the throttle? Is it worth the extra $$.
Whos the best these day, Hitech or Futaba?
I have found this so far(any good?)

Thanks in advance for your help/suggestions.

I can personally recommend Hitec servos.
I run an HS645MG ultra torque metal gear steering servo and a HS525BB High speed throttle servo.
High torque for steering increases speed and response, and at high vehicle speed it has the power to turn the wheels unlike RTR servos.
The reason i picked a high speed throttle servo, was not only to have snappier throttle response, but to have quicker WOT to brake times, and vice versa. This is particularly handy for controlling jumps, as airtime is limited.

The 645MG is too slow for an ST. You would be much better off with the Hitec 625MG. It is 39.99 from tower.. HOWEVER.. if you do a search for "Duratrax bulk" you will get 1 result.. it will be a duratrax metal geared servo.. it is the Hitec 625mg with the duratrax name slapped on it.. for 29.99.

I don't run any Hitec's in my rc cars cause they seem to poof really easy....I run Futaba's....Alot of Giant Scale people have same issue's with Hitec's failing.....
I'd suggest....[link=http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXDWF8&P=0]Futaba[/link]
but it's your dollar

Duratrax servo's are made by Futaba not Hitec btw

Not the one i listed. You can even click on the "replacement gears" on the servo and what comes up? Hi-tec 625mg gears!
