you know what dude....
speed isn't everything.. you can have something that's ballistic and won't turn and the guy that has a great setup with average speed is going to smoke him..
never owning an RC10 (until last weekend) and never owning the Rustler my selling points would be that the Rustler I believe is electric start but the RC10 has the bad upgrades (different gear combo's, different hop ups). So, if you want complete ease, go Rustler, probably a great product... if you have an idea that you may want to race later, go check out the track, see what they are running, bet that you find quite a few are RC10's due to the upgrade ability..
just my 2 cents...

I know that that is why a gt with a .12 motor same driver as a gt with a .15. The .12 will be faster lighter and can go thur the corners a little better and carry more speed in to

like i said in this other room with my faded ass....
put it this way, every company tries to compete with the rc10gt. the rc10gt has set the standards for other rc car makers to live up to.

well me and a friend who works at our new LHS he has a rc10gt and i have a nitro rustler
the rc10gt isnt as fast as the nitro rustler, but if it handles better through turns and whatnot, that doesnt mean i cant just catch up in a split second due to its slow accel.
oh well, i dont care whats better, i would just get what i like, not what everyone wants me to get, and i would get what i want to make it better.
theyre both great trucks though, i do prefer the nitro rustler since i own won, and the arms on the rc10gt are real thin and flimsy :/

as others have said if you just want staright line speed then a rustler would be fine. but if you want it to ba eble to handle and you may have racing in the future then a rc10gt is the one to get. I would say the rustler is faster on the straight line but out some turns in and ther rustler would be beat pretty bad. They are two different trucks designed for two different things. And no one is better then the next it just comes down to what you want to do with it.

Thats just your narrow minded opinion dude [>:] Threads like this Rot and shpuld be yanked as soon as they get started cuz all they do is start a flame and give RCU a black eye. Oh and by the way the Rustler will Rape a RC10 stock [sm=punching.gif] and you can take that to the bank !!

-Rustler is better for bashing. Much faster out of the box.
-RC10GT is all about racing on a track.
If your going to bash, I'd buy the rusty. Bashing a RC10GT is doable, but kind of seems like a crime to me. If you plan to run on a track at least 50% of the time, go with the GT. Your average N. Rustler is a joke on a track. Sorry rusty lovers, I own two as well, but the truth is the truth.

Okay, i own both and i have upgraded and raced and bashed the hell out of both.
Stock, The rustler WILL rape the gt in a straight line, BUT stock on the track the GT will rape the rustler, spend 50 bucks on both and the rustler is faster on track and in drag and spend a lot and the gt is the best.
Ill attempt to explain.
The Rustler has a very powerful engine package, so standard it will beat a gt in a drag. But the gt is a nicer set up car so on the track it wins. To get the rustler up to racing ability, spend 50 bucks and do some things, modify shock mounting positions, change springs and oil, add downtravel limiters and set it up and it will beat a GT on the track due to its engine, even if the gt has got the same 50 bucks spent on it, but the gt has most of these things done okay stock and the rusty wins again because of the engine, but a FACTORY TEAM GT, will beat a rustler anyday, and it is because of weight and geometry, with a fair bit of money into both neither would have stock engines, so the rustlers advantage is gone and the GT is quicker by a couple seconds a lap.

I do not know what kind of track you are running on, but $50 won't get a NR around either of our tracks much less beat a GT. Other than that, I agree with your statement. I would like to see this $50 list of parts that you feel will get a rusty around an off-road track.
