Jato Spur Gear Help
I want more top end on my Jato with less Torque. My OS 18 TM provides the TQ needed. So my question is, Do i need less teeth on my Spur gear? If i do than do they make a spur gear with less teeth for the Jato? Stock there are 54 teeth. My LHS dosn't have anything less than 54 (stock) teeth. All they have is 56 and 58 teeth.
I want to go about 70 mph with my set-up

RE: Jato Spur Gear Help
You have to get some extremely tall gearing to do so, but if you gear to tall you'll have the engine struggling and using too much fuel

RE: Jato Spur Gear Help
Look at my engine that i'm using. I doubt it will be struggling. I would just like to get a 52 tooth spur gear. Nothing dramatic.
