thoes are really good conversions for Oval racing not ST racing. or the street if you only wanted to drive on-road it would make your truck handle nice but not jumping and stuff.

Honestly, I have never had an issue with the tranny. I have never melted a diff, the only thing has been cracking the thrust bearing washers on the AD2 and since replaced with the orignal and its perfect. Nuff said, save your money. Good diff maintenance is more worthwhile than metal gears.
Engine... if it runs good, save your money. For nitro trucks, less is more. More power just makes it harder to drive. I actually wish I had less.
Required* hop-ups: *not really required, Titanium turnbuckles, new ball cups. That's it for chassis components.
Running gear should be upgraded. If your truck came with a JR xr2 it's likely the steering servo is a 590M, already a high torque metal geared servo. If not, invest in a high speed high torque servo. Hitec offers many affordable units that would suit the truck well. Something with at least 80 oz of torque @.12 sec transit time or better. That is what I consider "race class." If you haven't already a rechargeable receiver pack and peak charger. AA's don't cut it, period. Get a pack with at least 1200 mAh.
And most importantly... Work on your setup. That includes, springs, shocks (oil, pistons, positions, smoothness), throttle and brake linkage is critical for smooth braking and throttling to get the power to the ground smoothly and to avoid overbraking and causing the truck to loop going into every turn. And TIRES!. Get the right ones for the track. And thats all.
Go nuts. But your truck doesn't require any real aftermarket parts. Have fun.

i never did like my mach.15 side exhaust, blue cooling head.
it always seemed down on power even when it was nib.
it was always hard to keep a tune.

i was thinking just follow the slide carb linkage set up in the manual, rustler header, and the clutch. if the flywheel is not in right place and etc then i probably wont.
