Default Little help please...

finally got everything going today...broke in my new engine and everything went well except I lost the e-clip off the clutch bell and something that goes in there as well(see pics. I didnt notice it until i got home so i ran it for a while...what
caused this and did it hurt my engine at all? What do i need to order? All in all it went well, if you just bashing definitely take a look at the .18 tm by O.S. i def recommend it...thanks alot guys

Your missing the clutch bell bearing(s), washer and screw. Happened because the vibrations from the motor backed the screw out, happened to me once. Buy new stuff and use threadlock on the screw. Doubt it messed anything up but might as well check on your clutch shoes.

It wasn't a screw that backed out, it would be something called a E-Clip

Yeah you lost your bearings and eclip...it's like a 3mm eclip...bearings almost all standard 10mm's...your lhs should have all the parts to get it up and going again...just pull clutch bell and take a peek at clutch make sure it looks alright before ya reassemble it....

very sweet engine btw Post some video of that thing screaming across a parking lot

Is that a TZ engine? Most trucks have a screw and not an E clip. Some where on this form I read a person had a really hot motor and could not keep the E clip on and they had some sort of a fix for it. Being I have screws in all of mine I do not remember what the remedy was.

yea I knew there was an e-clip but didnt know what else was in there, ill take a trip tomorrow and get that fixed right up. I just got it back after like a month so i'll be driving alot until winter, I'll post some vids of parking lot runs but the good vids will be on the dirt I found a new bashing/homeade track spot, it's sick like 5 acres of perfect moist dirt I can't wait until next sunday

It's a .18 tm, the tz has a rotary carb and something else is different I forgot what it was though...my lhs got my cvec pipe in I saw it today hopefully next weekend i'll have the funds for it the thing looks sweet[sm=tongue.gif]

edit: thanks guys

You can get the TZ with a rotary or a slide carb. All so the TZ has more HP then the TM but they are both great engines.

there ya go more horsepower thats the difference! can I ask you this, why did my guy at the lhs tell me to spend $200 for an engine when I could have gotten the tz for $180 and have more horsepower? he's a good guy and looks for the best i can get for my money I wonder why he said that...what could be the reason?

All so on the TZ I do not think the easy start fits. I do not own a Traxxas so I cannot tell you about that.
