hey all. this is my first post here. i've been toying around with nitro for a couple years now, but not a lot. bought several off ebay, but they have been stored for a while now. i'm trying to get a nitro hawk completed. started with a rolling chassis, found a brand new traxxis .15 motor, put some different tires on. i need some detailed pics of the clutch setup on this one. hoping to have it running soon.
also bought a cheap-0 awd on road car. it's made by smartech. i know they aren't the best quality, but hey, this is just for fun.
also have 2 nitro rustler trucks. one is complete, jsut can't get it to run, the other i need to reassemble.
hope to learn a bunch of stuff on this forum. oh, sorry if it's in the wrong place. i couldn't find a newb section

That is what I was thinking, too. I had the nitro buggy, and I believe it was based on the hawk platform. Is the brake mechanism a 'shoe' that rubs on the flywheel? If it is, then it has the setup Dann is referring to.
As for pics...Check the traxxas website for the .pdf exploded view. Way better than any pics. I couldn't find enough relevant parts of mine to take pics of, as it has loooong since been laid to rest.
Otherwise you have to ask more detailed questions for more detailed answers.
If I remember right, the engine has to be Xtra long shaft.
It has been discontinued for quite a while, I think. So if you have a camera, take a pic of your question. My memory is pretty good...but it's short. I don't remember what it looks like exactly.

[link=http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/dropped_yellow_ranger/album?.dir=50c7]pics[/link] there are some pics. i have the exploded views, i just would like to see if anyone has detailed pics of all the little pieces that go on the crank that are related to the clutch and brakes.
i bought a bunch off ebay, each came with extra stuff. i got a container with just misc stuff. i've only bought my awd car brand new. everything else was bought used.
