Default Nitro Rusty problems

K i have the rustler 2.5. hte truck isnt new. k so when i hit the throtle the engine just revs. whats wronge. Im pretty much a newb and i dont really no much.

it could be that your slipper is too lose or a gear is stripped out somewhere in the line. try rolling the car while holding the spur and see how much resistance there is.

most likely your slipper, it's the assembly that holds the spur gear, there is a nut on there, tighten it, also to test it hold the truck, push the spur gear either forward or back, it shouldnt slip, it should be very hard to turn it, if it slips, tighten the nut more, if it isnt the slipper it's the gear mesh, if your spur is ok then post it here and we'll go from there

its as tight as i can get it. But is is still slipping. what should i do

K guys i figured it out. my spur gear was stripped. It is fixed i think. im gonna have to try it out tomorrow cause we hae crappy weather right now

a stripped spur would definatly do it. try doing a search on how to set your gear mesh and you might be able to find a diagram somewhere, cause its kind of hard to explain. i just learned to set it from experience.
