newb needs help!!!!

Default newb needs help!!!!

i have ran my new rc10gt with a os.18cv-rs(s) and it seems to get brown marks all around the tube coming from the engine that goes to the muffler is dont kno what its called but is this normal i have been runign my car rich and i was wondering if this is a good thing or a bad thing im a newb to this stuff so please help

are you talking a bout the header-manafold?

its the thing that has all the red stuff on it connected to my engine in the pic attached

yes thats what i was i was talking about mine has like brown crap on it and i dont kno why i run my engine rich

my guess it that you have a bad gasket on the header or the header bolts are lose, or even the cooling head could have came lose

its alll good man -normal really, you can use -easy off oven cleaner to remove it easily-works better if you heat it up w/ a heat gun or do it right after you get done runnin it. better running it rich than burning up that mill....

also keep in mind that dirt can easily get caked onto the manifold because it gets very hot.

k thanks for the help. i didnt kno what made it look like that. but when i got my car from ebay the engine in it had all that crap on it so i put it in a crockpot with engine coolent and it took it right off. if u have a engine with that crud all on it put it in there and take it out the next day n itll look like new. i did it with a plane enigine i got of ebay n it looks like it just came from the factory.
