Glad to see you made a decision. I hope your happy with it. I know i'm a little late but sure the MT2 is a little sluggish at acceleration. I think its mainly due to the stock gearing between the clutch bell and spur gear, and also the exhaust pipe that is comes with. I'm still running the stock engine and stock gearing, but i changed the pipe to a tuned rc10GT pipe and man what a difference in acceleartion did it make! I havent even began to mess with the needle settings and the thing already picks up a whole lot faster. And if you change the stock gearing to 12T for the clutch bell and 47T for the spur gear i have heard the thing picks up fast as hell. Also there is a two speed transmission available for it too. I havent put my o.s. .18 CV-RX engine in it yet, but once i do and put the 12/47T combo gearing in there i'm sure my MT2 will be able to keep up with your Jato. Post some pics of it when you get it also dude. Have fun!

I have the Jato, Revo, Nitro 4-tec and an MGT w/ a picco .27 as well as a Mini-T. So far the only thing that hasn't had a broken part has been the Jato. It hauls ass and can handle some pretty severe bashing. The other day I did about 17 cartwheels at 45 mph and it landed on it's feet and kept going. I have made some pretty nice jumps and really only suffered a cracked body at the rear fin. It really is a lightning fast acceleration, it handles well and is hard to flip over. As for tires, check out the Pro-Line Dirt Hawg. I put htose on the rear ond the Dirt Paw 1 on front and it seems to be a suitable combo for off road. You can always put your stock streets back on for the road, that is until you shred those off too, which subsequently took me about three days. Have fun.

i dunno guys my mt2 is pretty tough... i took it off a jump over my car, ran it into my tire, and took it off a jump and it landed on its side on the road.. nothin broken.. but i did run it into a tree pretty hard hehe.. i guess it doesn't really matter which 1 u get... depends on wut u want to do with it..

hey redfox.. i agree the kit was def the best choice to make.. if u want the easy way out go ahead and buy the rtr, but if u want sumt with power then get the kit.. its not hard to build, and its def worth it
