i got the golden horizons cooling head for it, but now ive got an os .18 cv-rx. i also upgraded the tranny to metal gears. another good one is the associated rc10gt fuel tank (requires slight modifications to mount) and possibly a new body to give it more custom looks.[8D]

That should be the only difference, unless one is a slide carb.

yeah whenever you see the x in the name of an os engine it just means that it has the pull starter; r means its the "racing", or high performance version

Towerhobbies has them. I had links on your last thread about hoping-up your evader. They'll be in stock this month. Tower says Early May, hopefully that's true.

thanks for the link STWNNR,
is all that is needed for a more durable tranny? if so, i'll add them to my "hop-ups needed". what is the idler's purpose anyway. ive wondered about that.

thanks

I have a HOP-UPS folder on my favorites too. If you don't have an aluminum idler gear and an aluminum diff gear, then the idler gear will get eaten up. That's all for a durable tranny, maybe carbide thrust and diff balls, but I think steel will do.

thanks for the info guys, gives less confusion to me. i got the evader for my first rc and only broke a rear hub and the front a-arm.
quick fix with a drill and some string.
