I want to go nitro, I've always owned electric trucks, XXXT, Rustler, what not, but now I actually have the time and the c*****$h to go nitro, I was looking in to the XXX-NT but I think it's the same as the XXXT minus the noise, so I'm set on a LST or the HPI Hellfire, but someone told me that HPI is hi maintanance, is this true??? tnx guys.

I 2nd the rc10gt, It's the toughest rc I have owned. It runs flawlessly. Another good choice is the traxxas jato, which is pretty damn fast stock.

Ok people, as soon as i get the hard drive fixed on my laptop...im gonna post videos of me BASHING the crap out of my jato, so that people will STOP saying it's fragile...people, ANYTHING will break after awhile of bashing...if you buy a jato, and you simply drive it, it will NOT break...but i jump mine 15 fit high and about 30ft across, and land upside down and flip 6 or 7 times, and it will land on it's wheels and i drive away...jato's are NOT fragile...it's plastic, plastic breaks...and then you take 5 dollars and replace the plastic or cought up 30 dollars and replace it with aluminum. JATO'S ARE NOT WEAK!!! they are fast, they will smoke alot of ST's...which i really don't care, i barely get mine about 30mph as im a huge basher, not a flat out racer....Get what you need to get, ive heard a LOT of good things about the Losi's!! Good luck in your decision bro!! whatever you get, welcome to the nitro family!

yeah, 1/10 sts are a good place to start in nitro. some of the easier/cheaper cars to own. maybe people say jatos are weak because they crash going 50 whatever it is? or they just see the long a arms and asume its weak? i dont know because from my experience with the nitro rustler, traxxas uses some pretty strong nylon most of the time. but what is it with the freaken' rear shock towers?! ahh! i really need to go aluminum. ahh! i was going to order an aluminum one this past friday because i have all this week of but totally forgot! dang it!
i dont know what to suggest for people to get anymore. it seems like a lot of people like the rc10 gt, but i have no personal experience with it. the nitro rustler is pretty good/strong, but has some deffinate weak points including turning (lack of) and the dumb starter it comes with. my friend has had a really good time with his evader st, which is a lot closer to the rc10 gt. i dont really have any more advice.

Someone up there just mentioned the rear shock towers on the jato being weak, THIS IS SO TRUE! That is THEEEE main part that will break when bashing your jato, ive busted 4 now. Anything you buy to bash with is going to break sooner or later....
