Hey,
I just purchased an HPI Nitro MT2 18SS. I am stuck on step 4 because part Z669 (Lock Nut M6 Thin Type Stoppmutter) has the three ridges or whatever in the middle and is not allowing me to slide/twist it onto the Gearshaft.
Checkout this picture, taken from the RCunivers.com review of the car:

On the right side, I cannot get that black nut down the gearshaft like in the picture...the lock nut has three ridges that completely stop it from sliding down the gearshaft. Am I doing something wrong, or do I need certain tools or what? Thanks in advance for the help.
Thanks,
MrElussive

Never mind, I figured it out. I purchased some tools from the hobby shop online, along with the vehicle. I was afraid to use force (I am good at breaking things) and I thought the hobby tools would suffice, but I whipped out some real tools and now everything is fine. Thanks anyways.
