gt diff probs

Default gt diff probs

cant keep diff thrust screw tight and thread locker isnt working, anyone else having this problem

Make sure the head of the screw is on the spur gear side of the tranny. When I accidently put mine in backward, it kept coming loose.

It shouldn't come loose then. Maybe the assy. is toast.
Try replacing the T-nut, as it could be stripped.


Just registered in the old slow brain...you said thread locker. If it threads into plastic, thread locker shouldn't be used...It eats away at the plastic, and makes it soft.

no ther is metal that is molded into the plastic and i bought a new screw and nut and it is working good so far but the diff is pretty stiff, gonna keep it tight for a couple more tanks so i know its not loosing then back it off some when im at the track for race day
