Default Reciever/servo problem

I'm having a problem with my rc10gt. When I turn the truck on you can here the servo but then a second later the noise is gone and the servos don't work. It started yesterday when I was trying to start the truck and I thought that it was the batteries so I charged the controller and the truck pack. I was going to put the reciever in an RPM box but it wouldn't fit. All of the connection to the reciever have been unplugged and replugged in to make sure they were rin the right spots, crystal was removed and replaced in bothe reciever and controller. I got this truck used and have not had it long still working out all the quirks. Any help would be great. Thanks

it might be a pain in the butt, but i think you should take the servos and rx out and bat pack and test it on the bench as there might be a pinch or some thing heck even the switch could be faulty so if you don't mind the work take the electrics out and test and examine it all for poor covering of the wireing

Thanks but if I can avoid pulling the servos and reciever off I would like too. If there are any other suggestions to try before having to take it all apart LMK. If not I guess I will have to try it this weekend. If I take them out should I just plug them into the reciever and see if they work? what if they work on the bench and not on the truck??Then what should I do get new servos and reciever? Do recievers have a certain voltage/amperage they have to work off of? I know it is a lot of question but I'm new to this whole gig. Thanks for any help.

if you have a battery pack that uses 4 AA's you should be getting 6 v if you have a rechargeable and it's 4 AA's you are only getting 4.8 v most rx's and servos work in the range of 4.2 v to 6.5 v so if you are useing 4 Rechargables change to a 5 cell hump pack

if u have a local hobby shop they might have spare servos and recievers to swich out by changing the wiring to ur vehickle that would eliminate the servos as bad or good maybe or try 1 of ur friends servos that way u dont need to take everything out just change the wires

Thanks I'll try to hook up with a buddy to try my reciver with his servos. I am running a hump pack of rechargable batteries but I don't know how good they are seeing as I got the truck used. I bought a new charger for the batteries cuz the one that the guy sent with them was "jerry-rigged". I am going to charge everything up and see how she works this weekend. I'l Let you all know what happens. Thanks for the help.
