I'm a basher and I am new to r/c. I have a rc10gt and man I can't keep the rear end from want to try and pass the front upon acceleration. Lots of wheel spin and not a alot of control. I don't know what kind of clutch it has and the wheels are stock and also tried some more aggressive knobbies. I run a lot on hard packed dirt with sand (no prepped surfaces) What is blue grooved surface? What will help? any input would be great.

if your on hard packed dirt, try to look for some M3 compound tires, try searching pro line, and also loosen the slipper clutch a little bit maybe. You have to remember, your running a 2wd truck, with a high hp engine, your not going to totally eliminate wheel spin all together, but you can help control it. Def look at some m3 compound tires tho, bowtie would be good.

Flytoolow said mainly what it REALLY takes to keep it straight. But i know when i drove my jato on dirt (pebbles n stuff) roads, it was crap, even with the slipper adjusted way out, i couldn't hit the gas barely at all without it coming around on me w/o warning. Also loosen your suspension alot, that will help.

Thanks I do have a heavy foot(I mean finger). How are the masher tires that I've seen here and there?Or are there other aggressively treaded tires that would be good.

Hey. Some step-pins,loosen the slipper, and throttle control. I buddy told me that you are faster to exit the corners slower and straight even if it takes 10 to 20 feet toget back to full throttle. If you were to race, most tracks would average only 14 to 18 mph per lap. So make it smooth and you will be fast. Later. Dan.[8D]

about those masher's i just got a set and put them on for just bashing. haha its funny the truck now has 2 and 3/4 inches ground clearence. the truck has more top end but not a whole bunch of acceleration. But if your racing u suggest these tires...... these on the back.... http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXDX67&P=ML and these on the front http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXMW78&P=7

moabs for bashing are by far the best, but not for the track. I run bow ties all around on the race track, works great. But if your just out bashing, moabs for sure.

the gladiator tires are great,My cousin has them on his stock and if he goes full speed up a grass hill it wheelies, they get great traction
