Default How is the Nitro Rustler?

I have been looking at the nitro rustler as my first time nitro stadium. How are they? How fast are they? Do they break easy?

They are great intermediate cars, tough as nails, tops out at about 50 MPH. I would suggest a Jato its basically a new generation rustler.

yeah, rustlers are pretty good. my friend has one, and it's tough. just breaks suspension stuff like a arms and shock towers, but that's expectable when you hit something at 45 mph.

My friend has a Rustler and he thinks it is not to bad but good!! Its hard to tune but can pull wellies if tuned correctly. It is preety strong if u dont bump in to trees like he did. but otherwise it is a very nice ST truck but it is worth the price and the EZ start is a big pain in the ***** he says!! And the only good thing about the nitro Rustler is that is can go 40-50 out of the box.

The rusty is a great truck!! I race mine on a track and it does good. Won the championship last year. Mind you if you get some seasoned drivers out they would beat me. Every race I go in my game plan is to finish the race. There is a saying at my track "slower is faster" and it's true. Other racers will either break, screw up or something. Thats how I won the championship.

ez-start is ok. it is just that you have one more bnattery to keep charged....

My first nitro truck was a Rustler... still have it and love it. it is a great starter truck. you will be happy with it.

here are some pics of mine... I know they are old... but they are the only ones of my rusty still on my web site.
The first photo was in RCCA readers rides back in 04 or early 05...

right now it is pretty dirty and in need of some lovin... I plan to do a full tear down and rebuild it all cleaned up soon.... that way it will be all nice agian...
