i was causually driving my car around, not even at high revs, just pootling along and then the glow plug popped out! why did this happen? it was quite funny but now i cant play any more[&o] how can i fix it?

man thats crazy, never heard of this before. i guess fixing it would depend on exactly what happened, i mean like did the treaded part of the plug stay in the engine, or did it like blow the whole button and all out, or strip the threads off the button or what?

yeah that happens alot more then you would think. Basically what happens either it works it's way free from all the viberation that happens with the engine while it is running or you didnt tighten it enough last time when you replaced it and it just work free and poped out. Basically all you should need to do is just pop in another glow plug or if the threads are stripped just get another head button.

if there is thread on the head then ur plug just popped out from the vibration you wanna here about exploding engines i blow once a hpi .15 FE engine i ported it like you wouldnt imagine i had that engine HALLIN!!!!!!!lol and i was running it around in the park and all of a sudden i hear BBBBBBOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMM................... i tryed to start it back up but the engine wouldnt turn over so i jsut say screw it and go home and i start taking everything apart..............................the coneting rod snapped and not only did it snap from the looks of it it snapped at TDC and when the piston came back down..........the rod whent threw the piston and the other end of the rod was sticking out of the bottom of the engine case IT BLEW THRU THE CASE!!!!!!!!!!! yup keep the copper washer on and snugly tightn it dont over tighten cause its aluminum and can strip but if put it in and use a slight amount to force and turn it over it will be fine
