if it overheats you should definatly try to see if retuning helps. if the mixture is right it should not do that. and then of course the worst that can happen is that youve got an airleak somewhere.

anyways, those are some sweet pics. looks like a fun track.

Some pics of my track, A work in progress as you can see. Its not much, just what i could do with the time i have, my little brother as a helper and a shovel haha. regardless its fun on the 1/10th scale trucks. i just bought a hellfire but its too big for the track. Now i wish i would have taken that into consideration when i built it. Made a little stand as well.

If you know how to tune NEVER get a new cooling head. You will just turn your motor into a ice cube...
You will kill it.

A cooling head is not a cure, It just allows you to tune to run cooler in hot conditions . As long as you have it tuned to run at the right temp for the condition it will do the motor no harm.

What do you call overheating?
Does it smoke ALL through the revs? Not just the low and mid...
Does it cut out when you stand on the throttle down the straight?
Does it idle when you drive it back to you and stop? (occasional blip to keep from stalling o.k., constant input not o.k.)
Does it die suddenly, and virtually impossible to restart until it's cooled off?
These are all tuning issues. None of which will be resolved by changing a cooling head. I am assuming that your jato has the 2.5. That has plenty of cooling area, if given adequate airflow. Cut the roof scoop out, and the side windows for more airflow.

WAY cool track!! Pics of my track at webshots.(I have a personal photographer[8D])http://community.webshots.com/user/shawndokken
I guess it's mostly pics of trucks on the track...I've done a bunch of work to it...I added the tile around the edges, and made pit lane. I still need to work on the driver stand, but it's better than it was.
I'll go take a pic...BRB.

If I had a track like that first one I'd be too busy admiring the view to pay attention to driving and end up driving off the cliff.

You really don't know what your talking about do you?[:@] can you say Bye bye? That engine dos! Tune by Blue smoke. If there is a good amount of smoke coming out of the exhaust your OK. Use temps for a REFERENCE!

Thanx!!
It has been a couple of years of tinkering with it to make it like it is. Because it is in my backyard, I want it to look at least somewhat finished and presentable, as alot of 'non-RC' people spend quite a bit of time in my yard in the flower and plant sections.(I have come outside and found complete strangers wandering around my yard checking out the gardens[8D])
I have a couple more pieces of the tile tubing to put in and then backfill the outside of the berms. Then I am going to plant irish moss in the infield and the back of the berms.
