It has a 3-gear transmission but is not a 3 speed. My vote is HPI.

First most claims on speed, HP and so on are so exaggerated do not even go by this. Second if you are new to the hobby speed sure should not be a prime concern. Believe me does not matter which you get they well go plenty fast enough.

All so I do not believe a stock rustler will go 50! Maybe 30.

hmm mabey but i just like to compare every angle of something ;P but new question came to mind.. my friends dad said that hpi parts arnt as comon as say traxxas, so when i need parts, and i knoew i will need them because even the best drivers break something, were will i get them for the evo? and the evo is disc so parts are even harder to get right

The two most common brands are HPI and Traxxas. Most places stock both. I own 4 HPI vehicles and never had a problem getting parts. I get most of mine off the web from Tower Hobbies and normally have them in 4 to 5 days at the most.

I know they say the Rush has been discontinued but has HPI said anything as it is still listed on the US and European web site. Even if it is discontinued parts will be a round for quite some time.
If you will feel better by the Traxxas.

I've read on the traxxas web site that the stock rustler out of the box can go 47. But im assuming thats an engine that's tuned very well.
