Okay got me a 2.5 Rustler, haven't ran it yet cause it was nasty raining today. my questions

1. anyone who has one have you cut out the body for the head of the motor? ( I thought it was weired it not being cut out already)

2. how did you break in the engine? did you do like Traxxas recommends or like fuelman(sp?) or someone else said? (you can tell us here were not Traxxas loves over here LOL)

3.what kinda fuel do you use? top fuel or something else?

4. what type of glow plugs do you use?

5.what kinda aftermarket tires would you recommend? has anyone put on larger size tires? something close to like a Pede has?

6. One last question, has anyone had radio interference with that brake linkage like it is? I mean it is metal to metal contact sometimes that interference with RC radios....

Okay I think that is all of my questions for now, thanks for anyone who can answer them....

1. Cut it
2. Follow the directions.
3. I use Byron's race blend. Whatever you use, stick with it.
4. Traxxas plugs.
5. Proline Moabs, HPI Knuckles, Proline Road Rage.
6. No, but a small piece of fuel tubing around the linkage should help.

I also just got a nitro rustler and I cut the hole so that i could see the whole head and the high speed needle. I might even cut a hole in the windshield to allow for better cooling.

ok we cut out a place for the head of the engine, a small hole to adjust the carb setting and a hole in the winsheild, havent gotten to drive it yet with the body cause it started raining.

has anyone put larger tires on the Rustler rims? I would really like some larger ones int he rear at least if it wouldnt hurt the truck any.
