Default Which Engine?

Which Engine?? I have a .15 Nitro sport that needs a new engine. I dont want to much wheel spin because I am using it on a very lose dirt tracks. I am thinking about a .15 O.S. engine and do not know which version to put in it. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/WTI0001P?&I=LXGGP8 Thats the os .18 cv rx s it should be just a drop in replacement for the trx .15. If you are worried about too much wheel spin, then loosen the slipper clutch or go easy on the throttle.

if you on a tight budget- go for the traxxas engine replacement..and that only costs about $110 with shipping...and if your not go with a O.S. .18...and they run inbetween $140 to about 210 depending where you purchase the engine from..

hope this helps

since your racing go with a CVR .12 it's a lot cheaper (109 or less), will hold a tune better and will get better gas mileage...also will not light the tires up as easy as a .15 or .18 or the 2.5 [sm=rolleyes.gif]

I agree. The .12 cvr is a great engine and sounds perfect for you. If you wanted a little more power you could go with a fantom fr12.

Well i am not the owner of the truck it is my friends. I already know a 2.5 has to much power for loose dirt track...lol. But he said he wants nothing smaller than a .15, so could anyone post the link to the right O.S. .15 engine.

Thanks Blitzz!

You can get an OS .18 CV-RX for $110.

One thing is for sure you cannot get a more friendly user engine then and OS. Yes there many out there faster but OS tune easy, hold a tune and are very durable.

The OS .15 CV-RX has been out of production for quite a few years now and the OS CV-X engines with the square head are great engines just way under powered. I have one of the old discontinued .15 CV-RX and I am still running it. The OS .18 CV-RX took the .15 place and does not have a lot more power then the .15 so that is the one I recommend.

OK He said he will go with the .18 but now I need the right shaft to fit the Nitro sport clutch on. Does the link above have the right shaft on it or not??

Thanks Blitzz

I have found the right O.S. .18. He will be ordering that along with a new radio system soon. How much more power does the O.S. have than a 2.5r???
