Default Set-up questions?

I plan in getting into the stadium truck racing scene. I want to get the Team Associated GT2, but before i anything else i want to know whether these are durable cars? becuase ive raced off-road before, but never 1/10th so im sure im not gonna be that good in the beggining. From what ive heard these are very good race cars, is that true?

AE and Losi make some of the best off road racers out there but by nature of 10th scale, it's not super durable. They will take a beating but not near the extent of a 1/8 buggy or truggy.

i dont know i beat on my gt regularly and th most i have ever done is burnt up the diff gear once,,,, and a couple front a arms and a rear one or two ......... ohh and a rear shock tower ( but that was due to about 10 feet up and landing lid down lol ... ouchhhhh) but other than that it has been a very durable truck and i have had it about 3 yrs now

get the RPM arms they seem to hold up nicely and as far as a servo if you have the money go with a decent speed one with metal gears as the front end does take good pounding ( atleast mine does) the servo saver works but i still like the added strength of metal . but by all means it doesnt have to be near as fast as say a road cars steering but hey fast cant hurt anything !!!!

I know but how much oz-in should it have to work well? Speed is nothing without torque

Well whats a good relatively inexpensive servo that will do that, or come close? This one is a little slow, but has the torque you reccomended. Its also very inexpensive, but will it work well enough for racing?

In case anyone doesn't know, Sanwa makes Airtronics... The ERG VX being the same as the 94359. If you're going to get what looks to be the very best 1/10 racer, that servo will not dissapoint. I love my AD2, but I am seriously thinking of putting it on a shelf in favor of the new G2. If I do, I will have a 94360 for throttle/brake and the 94359 for steering. I have an RB Concepts v12 or an OS 12tz to drop in for a mill. Spektrum Pro for the RX. Do that, and you're racin'!

BTw the mentioned awesome servos have like 14KG of torque and 60* times at like .o5 :O seconds so they are overkill for a st but will lats up to 6 years , i know ive used one thats that old and its perfect
