Default Newbie needs help with MT2 engine

I have a MT2 that I bought about a year and a half ago. It's had about a half gallon through it. About a year ago it had throttle problems where it would run full throttle all the time. The servos were working correctly but the thing on the left side of the engine wasn't turning with it as it should. (Sorry that I don't know the right terminology.) While I was working on it it ran out of fuel and I gave up. I put it in storage for a year and now it won't start at all. I reset the carb settings to the factory recommendations (front one 3 turns out from closed, right one flush with the sleeve). There is fuel in the tank and it's primed, but it won't start. Air filter is clean and exhaust is hooked up to the tank. I can feel the vacuum on the air filter while the engine is cranking. The glow plug heater has a fresh battery. Anything obvious that I might be missing, or suggestions on how to get it to fire? Thanks for any help at all.

Mmm if you didn't put any after run before you store it, it's probably rust inside. a one year set aside need some preparation to avoid corrosion. the first thing you got to do, is to tear down the engine, checking all of the component: bearing, crankshaft, piston, sleeve everything. if you don't know how to get that done, 2 possibility: you got to your local hobby shop ( what we call here LHS) and get some mano-to-mano help, or re-post your problem on the MT2 tread. and get some pic of your engine to help the MT2 guys out about parts that your not sure of the name.

don't worry, if you need help, your at the right place. but i hardly suggest that you repost all this in the MT2 tread.

hey guys i have had my mt2 for quite some time and its also been sitting arround for quite some time, but now im wondering (i lost my instructions) what is the high end screw and what is the low end? also it has this little range on the trigger pull where it revs but doesnt move significantly, should that happen? one last thing about that low end range where nothing happens - it makes this wierd tinny sound that im not sure it should be. could anyone help me on these problems?
