Default Something wrong with JATO

I DONT KNOW WHT IS WRONG WITH MY JATO. I HAVE A OS 21RG ENGINE ON IT. WHEN I START THE ENGINE IT CUTS OFF AFTER 2-3MIN. THE COMPRESSION IS OK, BUT DOES ISNT HARD LIKE BEFORE. I HAVE COMPLETED 2 GALLONS ATLEAST. I AM NOT SURE ABOUT WHETHER IT IS THE TUNING PROBLEM OR MAYBE THE SETTING OF THE TROTTLE TRIP.

SOMEONE ANY IDEA WHAT THE PROBLEM COULD BE?

If it gets off soon after hitting off the throttle when you start it then check your glow plug or lean your HSN.

Hope you solve the problem!

you say yur losing compression, maybe yur head is lose, but since you have the RC knwledge to convert yur jato 33 to an OS 21 im sure you would have checked that by now,,,

or maybe thats the way they they get after they are broken in..... i have an OS FX 61 and i noticed the prop didnt have as much compression when id turn it by hand, but it runs f***ing great

Make sure the glow plug is good and tight. My Evader was doing the same thing, I then noticed fuel bubbles comming around the glow plug. The brass washer wasnt equal thickness all the way around.

Wanna sell the 3.3?

My Glow Plug is tight and new.
Started the JATO 2.5 again and it went off several times. My compression is a bit weak now compare to before.
When my engine was new, I just had to pull the string and it would start.
And now since few days ago I had to pull the string and throttle at the same time to start and then after few minutes gets cut of again. But now if I have to pull the string only it wouldnt start at all. I guess its the problem with the pistons........!

Any more views from you guys????????

It is a traxxas car (2.5) version with a .21RG.

Lean the HSN like i said before and then see the result.
