It's not out yet. It will come with an OS .12 TZ. A powerful, good, reliable engine. I would recommend that, but I think any OS will serve you well.

Sorry. I looked at my speedmart catalog and it said the ULTIMATE combo came with the .12tz, not just the RTR. [:@] I'm an idiot.

yeah...the rtr comes with the ae 15, a good reliable engine, but not the most powerfull.

the axial .12 and lrp .12 are also good, but a bit pricey

Yea the GT2 does not come with a TZ....

And the GT2 is released....

The TZ is a very good match though..

well i remember reading somewhere in the tower catalog it came with a .12 TZ but it was a big combo pack. told you look at this.http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0161p?&I=LZ0138 i assumed it was a pack for ae my bad.

Yeah the MT 12 is a nice engine but if you have the dosh get the newer X12, it is a real screamer with good smooth linear power delivery.

Hey guys im bringing back a dead thread but I need help. I have a gt2 that I recently bought from my friend. He hasnt ran it in a while. So I got it running and tuned up at the hobby shop. It runs great but it runs hot. I had it at like 280 and I was only driving it for like 5 mins. Just driving around my house nothing crazy. So please respond and tell me whats wrong

Just richen it up a bit. What plug are you using? Do you have plenty of air flow through the body?

Thanks and the stock one. I actually tried that and ran alot cooler. Thanks! And I run it without the body when its this hot out.

I bought the factory team gt2 kit at a AE warehouse sale for about 150 bucks I put a O.S. .18tz in the ****ing thing and holy **** does it hall ass..
