No offense, but that is dumb, why not just buy a car meant to be electric.

Dumb? Its custom and I could have bought an electric but why should I? I have a custom made conversion that might handle better that other trucks. Plus you get a good feeling knowing that you've made something with your hands and people like it.

But its a good feeling and when you know what your doing it equals good alot. And this isn't a twin big-block powered truck with a custom 4WD setup. Its a simple electric conversion. I don't see the problem. I could inderstand if I bought a new Jammin and wanted to convert it to the Pro version right away.

I wouldnt have done it myself, but I wouldnt call it dumb. Its very creative and if it works, even better. Hats off to you annie for thinking outside of the box.

I'm not attacking him, I simply think it's silly to re-invent the wheel. A+ for effort, but I would raher just pic up a truck meant to be electric.

Re-invent the wheel? WHAT?
Losi almost reinvented the wheel with the innovative 8ight. I no where near re-invented the wheel. Losi did that like 5-10 years ago with the XX4, and Traxxas did a good job on the Revo. But I have no idea why you say I did the same.

I'm not going to keep arguing, neither of us is going to change our opinion. If you like it then that's all that matters, isn't that what this hobby is about.

LMAO. Why do you hate it so much? I equally love both, but nitro gets annoying and tiring sometimes when you want to waste 30mins for the girls in the family to get ready to go.

nitro racing is more equal these days than electric. which is why sanctions are debating whether or not to go back to 4 cells to not only slow down the cars, but to bring the competition closer again.

I guess, but why 4-cells? Li-Po's and the new cells are less prone to explode and have better perfomance than that of Li-Po's. Those paired up with BL's could run very long races. And isn't racing about driver skill?

the ballpark is so wide open with what products are race legal these days. motors keep getting faster and faster, batteries are far beyond the technology of motors, its causing lots of problems in pits. you see batteries gassing out, exploding after impacts, motors overheating and burning whatever it touches.

they are considering it to make racing safer. soon as technology of the motors reaches where we are at with batteries and esc's, we may be able to go back up to 5 cells.

What packs explode and I don't hear much about motors and such burning up unless they are Li-Po powered.
And that give electric haters another thing to bash electric guys about. "Electrics are slow, they suck, they need batteries..."

it shouldn't give them another reason to bash it. they should be intrigued that they have to slow down the class to make it safer, and to bring the competition closer.

I always enjoyed racing electrics, less things to fiddle with made them a lot more fun. Knowing my luck if I raced nitro I would conk out at the starting line.

electric IS fun, but right now, the competition is just ungodly expensive if you want to run at the top. these days, you have to buy yourself to the podium if you race electric. just look at how many different batteries there are compared to nitro fuel. look at how many different electric motors there are compared to nitro engines... its unreal!

Well, if the engine is tuned it won't conk out. It should be able to run a tank just idling at the start.
Kemo-this would make them bash it more. "Electrics are unsafe!"
I do kind of agree there though.
