Default Shum. riot or jammin crt.5? How will a 1/12 handle offroad?

I am thinking of getting the new Jammin mini truggy or a schumacher riot. The crt.5, uses a .12 engine and is 1/12 scale. How much sizee difference is there in between it and a associated rc18t or t-maxx like mine? I am looking for a new nitro and thought it looked cool and can come in a kit++++ I was wondering how it handles offroad because my rc18t w/mamba doesnt handle to well, and I want something a little better. Tell me what you think of it!! Also post on how you think it will handle backyard bashing!!

The riot uses a .18 motor and is a stadium truck put simply...pretty nice and
i know it has plenty of bashing potential!!

What do you guys think of the new schumacher riot?

I would say get the Jammin. It lookes cooler to me and Jammin is a way better company than Schmacher IMO.

What do you think of the new riot? What about the offroad capabilities of the jammin crt.5?

The reputation goes to the Jammin, but Im not in love w/ a 1/12 scale offroad.
Plus its more expensive.
If your an experienced nitro guy, I would take a risk and get the riot.
optional 3 speed tranny, finally good support and parts available.

For a backyard basher thats where my money would go.

They have the menace, but imo, its really a converted road car w/ big tires. A cool truck w/ 4wd, but not really a ST, close, but not quite. And its wicked fast.
But I like 2wd anyhow.

CRT .5
I word: 4wd. It makes all the difference when driving, whether bashing or racing. It's just more fun

It is. Plain and simple. Once you tranfer to 4wd, and get used to being able to mash down the throttle without the thing doing doughnuts, or fishtailing, it's annoying when you have to get used to oozing on the throttle

Yes, but it actually takes driving skill to drive a rear wheel drive truck.

Where ya been, haven't heard from ya in a while!

whoajoe-You are completely right but people don't like to take the time out to learn to drive.

Whoajoe, both take skill to drive, but 2wd just requires more throttle control and restraint. I can do it, but I prefer being able to mash on the throttle out of a turn, instead of slowing easing it on, and rolling through

I agree with you, I have driven plenty of 1/8 buggys, I guess I am just not enough of an aggressive driver. I just think it is wrong to totally rule out 2wd. Sorry birel19 for stealing your thread.
