Has any one had a problem with the HPI Nitro G3.0 as I have done two engines they just seem to last 1 gallon before the top end of the conrod snaps and smaches the piston up, HPI are good at replacing them but I would prefer a more reliable engine and does it realy put out 2.2hp as they state.
I was thinking about geting the OS .18 CV-RX engine to replace it would there be much differance in power & reliabilaty.
Cheers

it hasnt broke but for the 1st half gallon of blue thunder it would run real nice, after a half gallon i only get 5-7 minute runs before bog out. all needle settings stock. i think i got a dud, gonna call hpi tommorrow. btw i never took the air filter off when running it, and i always make sure the motor is tightend up. back plate, hsn valve, cooling head, exhaust flange.
