OK guys im going to a shop today to see about getting a 42 tooth clutch bell and a 42 tooth spur gear made for my rc10gt. I'm wondering how many of you would also like this combo for your cars. If i can get enough interest i will get 10 made of each for starters im thinking the combo will be somewhere in the neighbourhood of $50 if i make them both out of steel. I'm also thinking about using stainless steel b/c its harder and can handle more wear and tear. The speeds you should expect with an OS .18 cv-r engine is well over 120 KHM or 75 MPH. When i say well over im guess the car will be airborn before it tops out hahaha. I'm making a guarnteed Jato 3.3 killer. Im using a 24 tooth and a 56 tooth and my car does close to 100khm or 55 mph not sure if it goes faster or slower than that just know ive raced cars that we have clocked with a real car that do 70 khm and my car blows by them like there standing still. What i mean is i give them a 200 ft head start and catch them in about 1-2 seconds. Please let me know guys ASAP if your interested in the clutch bell spur gear combo.

THX O.K.

is a 42 tooth cb even going to fit?? youre going to have to grind the chassis so that it dosent hit it i think.

no thanks man. i used to be into the pure speed runs (i have an 18 tz in mine) but ever since me and my neighbor got in a few arguments about his dumb dog ive had to resort to off road driving. otherwise i would be very intrested.

p.s. are you having a machine shop custom make them??

yah im going to see a guy i know who has a machineing center. I worked in a machine shop for 8 years so i know my way around and have enough contacts still. Worse case is i'll be making it with a mill and using a lathe which will take me a few hours or they can do it in 20 minutes or so. I'll be making the blanks for the gears with a lathe before i take them to get the gears cut. I have access to a machine shop so its a matter of time. Also i get the material free for the blanks for now to test and my local hobby shop is kicking in some 40% nitro. Lets see it go!!!

O.K.
