Unless your GT2 is a dedicated track car and you NEVER (really, NEVER) crash or get into an impact.

IMO, in nitro, you want your chassis to be very durable, at the same time, reliable. I would stick with the aluminum plate.

Keep in mind the chassis does more then hold everything together it all so acts as a heat sink to pull heat out of the engine. Run your truck and feel the chassis around where the engine mounts.

Good point, 46u!

I notice that it heats up quite a bit under, in front, and behind the transmission case quite a bit... I never leave my hand under the engine mounts long enough, but thats where I notice the most heat. And as we know, heat usually makes things like metal or plastic bend more easily. It should be the same with carbon fiber.

Small block engines disipated heat very fast so it wouldn't be much of an issue but the crashes would[&o]

1/10 gas trucks have one of the better power to weight ratio's already - a CF chassis is probably overkill. Typically, CF chassis' are better suited to on-road racers. So if you are trying to make a dragster or do some on-road racing/bashing then it might be the way to go.

I would get that just for the bling factor. Its a better idea than aluminum arms and what not. I would get it.

Real Carbon Fibre is actually very strong. Some people use fake Carbon Fibre, which is usually stuffed with cardboard or newspaper, making it very weak. Same goes to Woven Graphite, which should also be avoided.

I would give that chassis a try...
