Try searching the forum. Most stadium trucks are under 400 bux anyways. But I'll break it down for you:
RACE: Team Associated RC10GT2 or Team Losi XXXnt II
BASH: HPI Firestorm
GO FAST AND WHEELIES: TraxxasJato 3.3

Some bashing and a little racing. The faster the better.

No jato then if your gonna race. Speed wise Maybe the XXX-NT. I would go for the new HPI firestorm, best all around and you cant beat that!

dont get mad at me guys for saying this but for a budget at 400 dollars you can get an aftershock or a mgt. And thats the way to go if your bashing.

You can race the Jato. You just have to change a few minor things. The rustler is also good. Actually you cant go wrong with any of your choices. I love my Jato.

jatos are OK but they could work on the handling a little bit. once you get used to it its fine. jato 3.3 was my first nitro so i didnt realy know what it was like to drive something that handled better, so it was easier to adapt. and i think the things you need to make a jato race legal is make it single speed and put a .12 in it. it mite also be smart to lose the ez start and get a starter box.

old school....go with an rc 10 gt. (not the 2). A friend of mine has one, to be frank, he bashes the He!! out of it and never breaks anything! he landed an 12 foot tall jump with a total distance of about 40 feet. nothing broke and it hit HARD! speed wise it is also pretty good. It has the OS .18 cvr in it and he is geared pretty good. good low end with a smokin' top speed of a steady 40 MPH and clocked once at 45. I think I'll talk him into putting his tall gear set on to see how fast it will really go.

With my xxx-nt, I have the tallest spur/bell combo available and it will only do 37 MPH.

Well, you can get the Aftershock or MGT, but how much would you still have left for maintenance parts, fuel, plugs, batts and part-replacements when you do break something?

I say GT2 or Firestorm. Power sliding on concrete or dirt at 35 mph is a lot more fun than pushing like a dump truck at 50(rustler).

Yes you have to change things BUT THe stock arms suck and when you go to RPM theres no place for the Swaybars.. Then you have the mess of the top deck that Brakes ALL the time and is just stuck all together. Oh then the Back tower Likes to brake and the tranny Lid Pops off.. Traxxas has some work ahead of them to get back into racing game... They just suck....

well, the rear a arms must not be too bad. i hit a mailbox at 50 or so...and guess what the first thing was that hit it...the a arm. it didnt break, just has a small gash in it. as for the top desk i hit yet another pole at 40 or so head-on and didnt break anything. the back tower has yet 2 break my tranny case...the onlyreason i had to replace mine was cuz the body mounts ground off. as for the sway bars use zip ties

[8D]hey fellows, i own a hotbodies stadium truggy with a .28 axiel on it. it,s all alu., kings head pins, pro series racing chasie. i take it to the track with the big boys down here in st.rose,la. we race @ scr, in destrehan. but mainly i run over in scott,la. about 10 minutes past laffeyyette la. they have on of the nicest big tracks besides going up to shrevport. that is the biggest r/c track in the north east. my hotbodies runs extra smooth, and can be fast. but the main thing though is that it,s so tough and rugged. it jumps high and for +takes a beating. but belive it or not i was jumping over a six pack, and was at a pretty good pace when i came down hard n hit the pole. i came out only with a lower broken right arm. i love it, and yes i do have a lot of $$$ into it and also have over 350.00 in new parts, from 1 end to another. and for a radio u can,t beat the dx2 spectrum. just thought i throw that up in the air. but like feloows said this is a expensive hobby. you gotta love it. the fly///
