Default 54.059 293 725 mile/hour (mph) RC10GT

I got my rc10gt to do 54.059 293 725 mile/hour (mph) or 87 Kph today woohoo i love my venom speed meter. The last speed test ended when my clip came off my clutch and everything blew apart at 71 kph. My MIP 4n1 clutch was destroyed the clutch bell came flying off and took out my throttle arm and i lost 1 bearing. Looks like i have 400 to spend on a motor guess we'll see what an OS .30 vg eb modded does lol... FYI guys im using an OS .18 cv-r with a 24 tooth clutch bell from a nitro ds and a 56 tooth spur gear also from the nitro ds. Oh yah the only bearings that would work without blowing up are the associated ones they are more expensive but the hold up much better. I thought my geolanders were going to blow up along with my motor it was screaming. Honestly i was worried that it was going to blow up, i havent had anything go right lately trying to make mine faster had alot of kinks to work out. Wish they made a 52 tooth for the ds so it would be closer to the jato the jato has a 24 and a 53. Oh yah i have video of the speed meter and the speed i need to post it and yes i set up the speed meter correctly i used the drive shaft and set the rotation to 350 mm b/c im using kph and the geolanders are 350 mm per rotation.

O.K.

In a stright line. Put it on a track.....

Why a OS.30 modded? I had one in my CRT and was VERY VERY disappointed. I would have got a OS.21V-spec in it

Yeah i had it It was nothing special. To tell you the truth when i was running that engine i missed my force. But for a extra 20$ you could have a Wicked engine. But the catch is finding a starter box that will Turn over the vspec. I would just go for something like a OS .TZ or Novarossi .12. They are both killer engines

Thanks on my truck. Yeah the TX has more aggressive porting and modding than the CV-R. I think it will push that to 60MPH. Im not to sure though.

Well im using 30% sidewinder fuel and it was running at 160 degrees so it wasnt even warmed up and im using crap fuel. we have found that odonnell 20% gives your car much more power and runs 60 degrees cooler. That was in a jato 3.3 we tested 3 fuels we used the traxxis 20% garbage which ran super hot with no power so we switched it to O'Donnell 20% and it ran 60 degrees cooler within a minute without changing the needles and had tonnes more power. Ran out of the O'donnell and switched to the sidewinder and it ran 40 degrees hotter and had a major power loss. i have half a gallon of 30% sidewinder to use up then im into my O'donnell. Were testing blue thunder in the jato's and the trx 3.3 and so far so good but no direct compairisons b/c we didnt test at the same time as the other fuels so the needles have changed and so far so good with the blue thunder. IMHO the fuels are ranked like this

1. O'Donnell 20%
2. Blue Thunder 20%
3. Sidewinder 30%
4. Backyard Basher 30%
5. Spit with some beer backwash
6. Pee with vineger
7 Traxxis 20% i wish i didnt waste 70 bucks on that garbage fuel....

My face dropped when i saw the difference between O'Donnell 20% vs Traxxis i was blown away. I payed $40 canadian for a gallon and my lhs ran out with its first shipment in days. I called almost every shop in ontario and could only find one place and they only had 30% so it was a no go. I still have one gallon left but i have a half gallon of sidewinder 30% to use up first.

If u cant get a stock 3.3 jato to do 60+MPH then ur doesnt something WAY WRONG ......trust me ive tuned thousands of jatos all stock theyll do 60-66 MPH on a good day CLOCKED

And besides, if I remember correctly, we all said stay away from the .30vg for speed runs. It's a torque beast, not a speed machine. Try an RB TM928 or a Ninja .28 (big block conversion required obviously).

IMO, that's a darn good speed for the rc10GT. What's your low end power like? Will it pull an uncontrollable wheelie if the slipper is too tight?

Ok we got them to do like 61 62 mph yes im sure we could have pushed them more but they were both brand new after break-in. And im sure a stock 2.5 doesnt do 55 mph

With the 24 tooth cb from a nitro ds and the 56 tooth spur gear using a mip 4n1 clutch setup with both weights on setting 4. Meaning it grips on the low end and the high it doesn't have wheel spin and doesn't wheelie. The tires might slip a little but its just a rocket off the line. Oh yah when i use the stock clutch shoes with the 24 tooth cb it takes forever to get moving. There useless with the 24 tooth you need the mip clutch or find the aluminum ones for your car. When i put my 17 and 64 tooth its uncontrollable wheelies all day if i want. I keep snapping the mip cvd axel pins with the 17 64 combo. Probobly because im doing wheelies non stop... I raced my buddies trx 3.3 today and my car is a little faster with the 17 64 combo b/c it wouldnt even be a race with the 24 56 combo. Oh yah i changed the motor yesterday and im using a brand new cv-r that i got friday and not using the one i used to get 54 mph. That motor i ported.... When i use the ported motor with the 17 and 64 it does 65 km/h on grass in a park and it does about 75 on the road. Today i got the new motor to do 61 on rough pavement racing the trx. The ported cv-r has tonnes more power so im saving it for high speed pass's.

If you have any questions just ask.

I agree the OS VG 30 is not a very fast engine. I would believe the OS 18 TZ in a stadium truck would out run the OS VG 30. The OS 18 TZ has as much power as many big blocks. I do not take a whole lot of stock in ratings but do own an OS 18 TZ is a stadium truck and is way too much power. Not only that but I do not like the VG series do to having ABL sleeves!!!!!! Here is some interesting reading.
