RE: looking for a stadium truck... not much experience
HPI MT2 18SS...I bought a Duratrax Evader and spent a horrible amount of money trying to make it faster more durable....I picked up a used MT218ss for about 200 cdn...in trade value.
It is by far superior to any stadium truck I've driven....you really don't need much as far as upgrades...be carefull what you buy used though being new you will not know what to look for. I suggest you save a little longer and buy new.

The Jato is a great truck and it is wicked fast. I dont recommend it for a first nitro. If you were to go the Jato way you wont have to do much in modifications other than better tires and in order to get better tires you have to change the 2.8 wheels to 2.2 wheels. Then RPM a arms and upper chassis brace. You wont have to mod it to be fast. For a beginner I would recommend the MT2, Firestorm, or Nitro rustler 2.5. All goo trucks.

How many threads asking "Which truck should I get" do we get per week, anyway? Just read through the forum and look at the other threads...
Anyway, GT2.
Anyway, GT2.

DO NOT GET THE JATO first of all it has too much power for a beginner i am a beginner with nitros also and i got the new mt2 18ss and i love it goes fast enough for me it is very durable and it is also a kit so you get the chance to see how it goes together and you can make sure that every thing has locktite on it and the motor is not the best but i find it easy to tune. and if you do get the mt2 the first thing that i did to mine is get about 3 feet of fuel line and put it all from the gas tank to the exhaust and other that you really cant make it any stronger it is a very very durable truck it sort of likes the air but not like a buggy will so if you are interested in the mt2 check out hpi's website or use this link http://www.hpiracing.com/products/en/10445.html

With some simple upgrades like RPM a arms, chassis brace and different tires like Moabs or Yokahamas it is plenty strong enough. Its a tough truck and buy doing these small mods it is awsome.

RE: looking for a stadium truck... not much experience
i got a Nitro Rustler as my first one and it is a good learner cause you got power and when you get some experience then you dont have to go buy another cause this one is a good beginner and a good intermediate stadium truck
