RE: 2 speed transmission
You could probably make it fit in one way or another. You can make anything fit if you have access to a dremel, drill press, and lathe!

if there was an aluminum version of the jato tranny i would be the 1st one in line to buy it, but there aint, so be it. i dont think dremeling will do any harm, as long as the gears stay safe

RE: 2 speed transmission
I'm planning on fitting an NTC3 2-speed tranny on my GT2, all I have to do is shorten the TC3 shaft to a bare minimum and drill a flat sided hole down the middle, then I can slip a rear slipper pad (To drive the brake disk), a washer (To keep the pad from touching the 2 speed gears), my assembled 2 speed setup, and a nut onto the stock diff shaft!! And the TC3 clutch bell fits on the GT2 clutch so it's brilliant!!!
