Drifting doesn't work very well with a 2wd RC. In fact, it doesn't really work at all.

the front tires will bite cuz of the amount of camber gain wen you turn the wheel. you mite be able to if you put front wheels with little, but not no traction, but i would think it would still just spin out

why dont you guys think its possible? real drifters ARE 2wd. And yes, there are 12mm conversion s available. most put 1/12th scale wheels on for ground clearans. me, I put on masher 2000. Although, the only problem I see is that with battery cars, its easier to 'break' the rears loose, because electric motors produce their top torque instantly, and nitros have power bands, but if you gear nitro right, should be able to break it loose before traction flips your jato all over the place. I always get a kick when I drift my jato through a couple of corners, before it grabs and takes off. Put some of those 'drifting' tires on and maybe itll make it easier to learn what works for you. You bought the da.. thing, do what you want

So seperate the throttle and brake on different servos, take the caster out of the back wheels and set it at 0, get most of the caster out of the front wheels and give it some negative camber with a little toe in, leave the soft tires on the front and get some hard meats for the back........................WALLA an ST drifter

i dont think the 3.3 needs to lock up the tires, drift tires are such a hard compound and the 3.3 has plenty of power that all it would take is a blip of the throttle to get it sideways, it was starting to do it with bald street tires..by the way arent the jato hexes 12mm anyways, i dont think it would need an adapter or anything

Most RC drifters use pvc pipe glued to the rims no rubber at all. just find a pvc pipe that will fit on the rims and glue it in place.

i think i may try these on the rear, and put road rage tires on the front..

if they dont clear i will try to rig something to space them

The problem as I see it is, short wheelbase + rwd + nonuniform powerband = frustration.

But have fun.
