Default pipe?

Ok today when i was running my car the exhaust fell off. The header was stil on but when i drove 100 yards to my house with out the pipe just the header there was more power. It was poppin wheels and had a lot of bottom and top end. Is it bad to run the car with just the header? Thanks

Its a bad thing b/c you don't have your back pressure to help push fuel into your motor. Also your whole car will get caked with fuel and exhaust and make a real mess..
