who uses ezstart with a glow ignitor
As of now whenever I use ezstart I hear my motor rev then go back to turning the engine. Im thinking mabey its this flimsy cord. So will buying a glow ignitor help in this situation? oh and btw I took my glow plug out. Atached it to the glow plug wire and turned the engine with the ez start and the glow plug didnt glow. But when I attach it to the engine I can hear the engine reving[sm=confused_smile.gif] sorry im just a noob with a nitro sport but some help would be apreciated.

Well, the plug wont glow unless you touch it to the head. It has got to ground somewhere. But yes, using a glow ignitor with the EZ start can be a big help. The car will start easier and your battery will last longer. Later on it wouldnt hurt to get a pull start, too.

im not sure but the pull start should slip into the bearing the ez start turns......a pull start would mount into the same holes the ez start does.........and i use my glow starter with the ez start, my blue wire is tore up

Ive found a very good ez-start system. Get an original ez start hand peice, the kind that straps to the battery, and use a 7 cell pack instead of a 6 cell.

Be careful with the 7 cell. I use one occasionally and have sometimes seen smoke from the EZ-Start motor in my Nitro Vee boat. I also use a glow ignitor instead of the blue wire to the glow plug. It make the battery last a lot longer.

RE: who uses ezstart with a glow ignitor
I use a glow with an ez-start. It starts alot easier. when I replaced the wires, the first thing i do is cut off the blue wire. But if your new at this, you should stay with the ez start, because a pull-start is alittle hard to master. when I replaced my 2.5 with a 3.3, I put on a pull start, and was near impossible, so I put back on the ez for break in, then put the pullstart back on, and still had troubles. I dont race, so I put the EZ back on. Alot of people tease me about it, but I dont care. Ez starts dont give you blisters , either

wowza well I got a glow ignitor and put the plug in that and it glowed so yellow that some nitro sizzled off it. Is it ok to clean a plug with water?
