the idle screw isnt a needle, at least not the like the high speed needle and the low speed needle, the idle screw should be a small screw on top or most likely the side of the carb.... your manual should show which one it is and where it is

i had the same porb. ammar t. The throttle linkage isn't set right from the factory in some of the trucks try adjusting by taking the linkage off of the servo and then put it back on when the servo is at idle.

My buddy had the same problem with his firestorm. Turns out that the clearence was slightly to tight in the clutch and clutchbell. Take the clutchbell off and take some 320 grit sandpaper and sand alittle off of either the clutch or the clutchbell, but be careful not to sand to much off.

something should have happened while adjusting the idle screw...it would have sped up or slowed down at idle depending on which way you turned it............it sounds to me the clutch was just too tight, a new engine at break-in will stall because it is set so rich....set the servo linkage back to the way it was, loosen the clutch, and try to work through it

Same thing I went through today. Out of the box it fired right up with a Screaming idle........set the throttle trim back .... still ran a little fast and the idle screw adjustments did not do a thing . The Car drove good and I watched the engine come to life over the break in process even though it would stall on the hard break ??? So after 3 tanks I fire it up ..... Now The engine is screaming ...im adjusting the idle screw which isnt making a bit of difference and holding the trigger full brakes.......WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!! then the clutch starts friggin smoking so I cut The engine quick and havent run it since. Thats where Im at with the thing. What should I mess with Before I fire it up again
