i just went to my lhs yesterday and its like a 40min drive. i don't want to go back and my exghaust gasket just burned out is there anything i can use or do for now intill i can get a new 1?

I am guessing you are talking about the exhaust header gasket?

I cut one out of a header gasket for a Ford V8. Still on there.

Use that crap if you don't care about the way your engine looks / get some gasket material and make you gaskets or order on line[&o]

i went to my lhs any way and they were out of gaskets [] but i got some gasket matrial instead and made a cheap gasket but now my engine is running so hot smoke is pooring out of the engine

If you are saying smoke is pouring out of the exhaust sounds like you are running way rich. What fuel are you running?
