I have a nitro rustler 2.5 and I just replaced the glow plug (the old one was stock, well after break-in) and I went out and tried to start it and for a few minutes it wouldn't start. It turns over easy, and of course it turns over slower and slower as the battery in the "EZ-Start 2" deadens, but then I tried it with full throttle and it almost started, but the starter battery was weak, so it didn't kick. Why??? Every time I've ever started the truck, it's taken 1-2 minutes of turning over and it slowwwlllyyyy starts up. How long should starting take?
And also, I ripped the **** out of the blue glow plug wire pulling it off. I know they're not supposed to be that hard to take off. What's the deal with this thing?

I always prime it, and I know what the blue wire is for, I'm asking if it's always so difficult to take off. Mine ripped up and the coils stretched out when I pulled it out (took a lot of force).
And I have no idea how many gallons. Less than one. Let's see... stock quart, 2nd quart... about 3 quarts. 4 to a gallon, right?

If you stop using the blue wire completely, and use a glow plug ignitor, your starter battery will last longer, and you get a better glow at the plug.
