Default Explain nitro engine starting to me

I have a nitro rustler 2.5 and I just replaced the glow plug (the old one was stock, well after break-in) and I went out and tried to start it and for a few minutes it wouldn't start. It turns over easy, and of course it turns over slower and slower as the battery in the "EZ-Start 2" deadens, but then I tried it with full throttle and it almost started, but the starter battery was weak, so it didn't kick. Why??? Every time I've ever started the truck, it's taken 1-2 minutes of turning over and it slowwwlllyyyy starts up. How long should starting take?

And also, I ripped the **** out of the blue glow plug wire pulling it off. I know they're not supposed to be that hard to take off. What's the deal with this thing?

next time you go to start your truck, put your finger over the exhaust for a few seconds while turning it over. this will build pressure in your fuel system, to push the fuel to your carb faster. it's called priming your engine, once you start doing it you'll see that your truck will start faster and your starter wand will last longer. and the blue wire is for lighting up the glow plug while starting, you should use a pair of needle nose pliers to take it off and on. make sure it doesn't have any holes in the blue casing, if it does tape it up. it will short out when it's against metal. and you can either buy a glow ignitor to stop using the blue wire, or put a alligator clip on the end. and hook that to the glow plug, that will make it easyer to take off and on

I always prime it, and I know what the blue wire is for, I'm asking if it's always so difficult to take off. Mine ripped up and the coils stretched out when I pulled it out (took a lot of force).

And I have no idea how many gallons. Less than one. Let's see... stock quart, 2nd quart... about 3 quarts. 4 to a gallon, right?

If you stop using the blue wire completely, and use a glow plug ignitor, your starter battery will last longer, and you get a better glow at the plug.
