I need some new rear tires for my Traxxas Nitro Sport, can i use 2.8 wheels? I'm pretty sure the stock ones are 2.2. Also, can i use any 2.8 rim to fit my axle, becuase there is a pllastic piece that locks the wheel to the axle.

Any ot the Traxxas 2.8 wheels will work. All Traxxas vehicles use a hex on the axle.

not exactly 100% true. Jato uses hex in rear and bearings in front. Make sure you get the right combo for what you have. Not sure about the other models but i do know some trucks use 4 hexs.

2 hexs= 2wd 4 hexs= 4wd...why do you want to switch to 2.8's? theres alot more to choose from with 2.2's

Nope, The rustler uses hexes in the front..Atleast the old gen does .15 pro and the first electric one xl-1?

i picked up some of the traxxas racing 2.8 tires. They're much better than the stcok sport tires. 2 hex.

Well all TRX electrics use 4 hexes, nitros only use 2 on the rear.
