Default Minor problem

My truck runs good but if i let it idle for a minute, tons of smoke pours out when i hit the gas, as soon as all the excess gas is burned, it runs fine again..

That is normal. It cant burn all the oil at an idle. Nitro motors are only meant to idle for about 30sec max. Its called loading up.

more smoke=safer engine. If you have less smoke you are running leaner and the engine runs hotter. The hotter the engine gets the more likely it is to start damaging itself. You want to find the point where the engine dose not get to hot but gives you the best preformance. If both are running the same truck and you are just has fast has him or maybe just a little slower then he is running to lean and damaging his engine. If he is running way faster you are prolly running to lean. Again that only applies if it is same truck and engine.

The OS 12TR in mt MST 1 will idle through a whole tank and I dont even need to blip the throttle at all. Thats what I call a perfect tune.

Or a high idle [

But yea I have my truck set up with the idle a touch high so that in the races when we have to do down and quite starts, I can just let it sit there and run.
