MT2 G3.0 vs. GT2, vs. Firestorm
Okay, i have a revo 3.3 and I'm looking into stadium trucks. the three I've picked out is the MT2 G3.0, GT2, or the Firestorm. I'm looking for durability, speed, and acceleration. I'm mainly bashing, but ill also race. The only ST I've ever driven was a rc10gt plus. Help?

A guy at my track has a GT2 RTR I was racing with (mock race), his was hooked up and looked pretty stable. I was a better driver and I could mostly stay ahead but it does look good on a track!

Even if you're doing only a little racing you're going to want a GT2. Thats why I got my GT2, and it actually has suited me quit well for just driving around and having fun.

Yeah, people would probably suggest a MT2 if you were not racing. Very popular truck.

The MT2 is not even close to a Savage- it has a much lower CG and is much shorter and narrower than a savvy. The MT2 also handles much better out of the box, not that the savvy can't be made race ready- it can, just is not so out of the box. The MT2 is more a racer, though there are no legal classes for it ATM (go figure), the savvy is a basher, for the most part. The are both HPI, but are apples and oranges.

I have a Revo and a GT2. The GT2 is a purpose-built racer, but is a great basher too. The stock .15 engine is plenty fast and legal to race, so you have the best of both worlds right there.

^^Cool to see another revo driver! Especially since you have something good to say about the GT2. I've only driven the GT plus and man, was it AWESOME! But my shop holds lots of parts for them.so yeah, I'm getting the GT2.

It's definitely always best to buy what your LHS stocks the most parts for. What are you looking to get, the RTR or Factory Team version?

ever consider to get used GT2 FT from ebay? I bought a new RTR kit and wish I got the FT instead, the stock radio and electronics, bearing and stuff got upgraded soon after I bought the RTR [:@] I like my GT2, especially after I'd put the O.S. 18CVRX on it! Lots of replacement/aftermarket parts available from tower, and lotsa parts are interchangeable with NTC3 too!

eBay isn't a bad idea. You can definitely get a nice Factory Team truck with a nice engine for below the cost of a new RTR. I think there's one on there now with a 12TZ.

my parents don't like eBay, and anyways, it'll be like 3 months before i buy it i just need to know how much money ill need. Just to get a decent motor and equipment is around 400$ plus the car so it'll be 650.way to much. And whats the advantages to the FT?

The firestorm is a very good truck for bashing and has good speed to but if you want a 4 wheel drive you should get an mt2. The mt2 is not as fast as the firestorm but it might have better handling and acceleration. The firestorm and the mt2 have durability and are good trucks.
