Ok guys, I just ordered a jato off of ebay, I have the pull start LRP .28 xtec spec III, i was wondering first off if the pull start motor will even fit on the jato, secondly, what do I need to make the jato fit a big block on it? Do I need a different chassis and motor mount? I could not find anything for a jato with big blocks.
Thanks for the help in advance,
Craig

hey, ive just converted my jato to BB, i got the rolling chassis of a mate for really cheap and it came with the new era Big block kit
I found that the stock gears, it munched them like no other, got proly 2 tanks then they shat them selves, so upgraded them to metal gears (all of them) and its as strong as an oxx.
Anyways heres my big block jato
Also i locked 1st gear out (in 2nd full time now) because first was useless, it just caused more wheelspin, even locked in 2nd its still massive wheelspin.
also make sure to use the chassis stiffener, mine didnt come with 1 and 1 bad knock to the rear end, and it bent the chassis munching a spur.

scottywilkes id say get some softer tires or foams for the rear.....road rages on my jato light up pretty good with the 3.3...on black-top and concrete.....now my road is old and chip sealed, (or whatever its called) and it would get better grip, but it wouldnt wheelie at all

I am not sure if I am going to do the BB conversion yet, it will be a lot of money in the long run, I really want a hellfire or a revo also and put my lrp on that. I am thinking about it, is it kinda useless to have a big block if you want it for offroad uses?

trust me, my jato is awesome offroad, with the gladiators in the rear and edges in the front its awesome, the glads really give a hell of alot of grip and its very easy to control.
I use my MGT for the hard bashing, the jato is just a novelty that is awesome fun
