RE: What's a good first nitro truck
the nitro x-cellerator is a great beginner truck. it is easy to control and goes fast. my first car was the jato 3.3, but it is exspensive and for advanced drivers.would not recomend it to beginners, but it is by far my favorite car.

traxxas while not being the cheapest or best could be considered the easiest for starting out
the glow ignitor and spin start are built into one unit, EZ start which I really liked
yanking on a pull start doesn't appeal to everyone, and other brands EZ start systems aren't as well thought out

the x-cellerator is a competative st racing truck, you will never beat it with a jato on track

RE: What's a good first nitro truck
in my opinion HPI is the hardest to work on i work on RC cars to make spare change to help pay for football expenses and gas money track shoes ,etc ,etc but i have fixed only two HPI's and they were savages and i had to help a friend replace bent chassis and shock towers and it sucked it was so hard to put back together but i work on alot of my friends traxxas vehicles and they so far have been the easiest to fix everything just goes back together so easy but i have so far worked on nitro sport, rustler, stampede,t-maxx(most diffucult) but thats just my .02 but also my rustler takes a beating like no other and so does my bro JD t-maxx and S-maxx and we bash alot like backflips and everything and so far only had $250 dollars worth of expenses in about 3-4 months of bashings every chance we get but i suggest nitro sport if you wanna get a good starter.

RE: What's a good first nitro truck
I only spent 10 dollars in repairs with my firestorm and I had it for 5 months!I have done hard core bashing and have jumped 12ft. high and landed upside down from 12ft.,and guess what no damage![8D]
I am not trying to rub it in,but I couldn't stop myself from turning in my 2 cents.

RE: What's a good first nitro truck
i would really like to race your jato, too bad we cant meet up anytime soon
if the jato would be such an advantage, alot of st pro drivers would drive a singlespeed .12 jato, ever thought about that ?
